Outdoor First Aid – 2 Day (16hr) £125.00

The Overview for the Outdoor First Aid – 2 Day (16hr) includes the following:

Participants will need to be physically fit and healthy, as this course is practical in nature, and it is an assessed first aid course. Participants must be able to kneel down, operate outdoors over uneven ground, and demonstrate effective floor-based CPR. Some participants will be required to act as casualties, in order for specific learning-scenarios to take place, which may involve lying on the ground. Suitable protective and insulative equipment will be provided to facilitate this.

Typically, the first day of training covers fundamental first aid skills. The second day is largely outdoor based (so participants will require appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, for the time of year) and includes outdoor specific protocols and scenario training.

This course is practically based and has been designed to prepare attendees for the types of incidents that may be faced in an outdoor first aid situation/emergency. Please come prepared to learn, with a willingness to get hands-on.

Measures are in place to ensure that this training complies with COVID-safe requirements and procedures will be followed by trainers and attendees throughout to minimise the risk of spreading the virus.
